The Hermes alligator skin table clock is finished in the world’s finest saddle-stitched burgundy alligator skin, with over 12 layers of leather [I do not get the 12 layers thing neither ...] The red Hermes leather sheaths the stainless steel chassis measuring 175 mm high by 150 mm wide and 37 mm thick. It features black nickel indexes and hands, and comes in a red lacquer case. The elegant table clock boasts Swiss mechanical movement with 8-day power reserve caliber 51 with 15 jewels, beating at 18,000 bph. The classic table clock was specially conceived for Only Watch 2009.
As much as I love the look I do not think that today it is necessary to kill an alligator for a clock or a bag ... I know I am not a vegetarian, I do eat meat but it would look just as good if it was faux leather.
