PARROT SPEAKERS BY STARCK

Designer Philippe Starck has put his stamp on a home sound system designed specifically for iPod, iPhone and other digital audio sources . The Parrot speaker system features a pair of 2.5-foot tall black columns each reminiscent of the business-end of a trumpet.

We were not aiming to create just another speaker,” says Starck. “Our design focused more on making the air vibrate. There is actually a three-dimensional feel to this vibration, meaning that the air is palpable, almost humanlike in presence, like a fragrance.”

Strack is a design genius and just like him I believe that today, products are "stupidly complicated, just to show the intelligence of the people who do it, but they don't show the intelligence of people who design it, they show the stupidity of people of design it". OUT/IN Chair by Starck & Quitllet

Let me give you the new Out/In armchair, which was designed by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet.

Unveiled to the world at the 2009 international furniture fair in Milan, the armchair is not due to go on sale until May 14th.

Suitable for both outdoor and indoor use, the Out/In armchair sports an oversized backrest that curves to create a cocoon-like environment.

With a price tag of $1000 it is made from polypropylene and is available in white and anthracite black matte finishes.

DRIADE BY PHILIPPE STARCK

French designer Philippe Starck launched his Monsiegneur and MOOR(e) seating for Italian brand Driade. The Monsiegneur collection comprises a sofa, easy chair, armchair and foot stool in black or white leather. The seats have cast stainless steel front legs and wooden back legs.

This is the new Philippe Starck watch for Fosile. This O-Ring Digi focuses on sleek basics. The number on the watch face indicates the hour, and the segments, indicating minutes, fill up around the dial as the hour progresses. The face is set within the band, and the center is completely empty. Price $110
