This is totally my kind of house, simple, modern, contemporary, zen ... and super expensive!



This house was designed by Ong & Ong and it is located 55 Blair Road in Singapore. Stunning photos by Derek Swalwell.



I know I would never live in Singapore, at least not this life, but I would LOVE this kind of house in a more affordable place like Manhattan or the 1st arrondissement in Paris for example ;-)



To create a light open plan living space, whilst promoting Inside/outside space. The contrasting relationship between the metallic elements and subtle tones within the house create an exciting spatial relationship throughout.

From the outside you would never guess what's inside.



55 Blair road project is a renovation and restoration to a traditional art deco style shop house. Originally the house was renovated 10 years ago. The new owner however believed it was too dark and desired more light in the living spaces.

The 165 meter high Singapore flyer is officially open to public. Singapore flyer, the world's largest observation wheel which offers breathtaking, panoramic view of the city.

SINGAPORE AIRLINES A380 A CLASS BEYONG FIRST

Singapore Airlines will no longer offer a First Class on its A380, instead replacing the signature space into 12 suites (8 singles, 2 doubles) designed by leading French luxury yacht designer Jean-Jacques Coste. This new cabin class is said to set a new standard in ultimate premium air travel.

A full-sized flat bed with plush mattress is built into each Suite, and does not utilize the seat as part of the sleeping surface. For those customers who intend to "work" on their flights, the Singapore Airlines Suite can be transformed into a stylish office in the sky complete with chaise lounge for companion seating.

On the down side, the company has slapped a ban on couples joining the mile-high club during their flights !!! That's a bummer ... especially when they sell you a double bed, free champagne and privacy !!! Good luck to the airline on that ;-) A flight between Singapore and Sydney will cost you $15,000.

BIOCLIMATIC BUILDING SINGAPORE

Cities takes up 2 % of the surface of the planet but houses 50% of the habitants of earth. The EDITT tower now under construction in Singapore takes the green roof concept and morphs it, by greening not just the roof, but the sides and interior of a giant 26-story tower. 50% of the water used by the inhabitants will be supplied from natural rainfall and water reuse through built-in filter systems, and solar power will supply 40 per cent of its energy needs.
