IT'S A BUYERS' MARKET!

Are you too looking for a triplex penthouse in New York City !? It's such a headache I know ... I got what you need a $25 million 6,400 square foot apartment with four 14' clocks housed in gigantic round windows.

The New York Times takes us inside the triplex penthouse of Brooklyn's ClockTower Building. The DUMBO building was built by a cardboard box manufacturer and renovated by DUMBO developer David Walentas.



$25 million which is "more than double the highest price known to have been paid for a home in Brooklyn." In addition to the clocks and amazing views, the triplex features 16 foot ceilings on the main level and central glass elevator and floating staircase!

THE HIGH LINE OPENS IN MANHATTAN

There are many parks in Manhattan that aren't central park. The newest one is called High Line and took over rail track that was abandoned 30 years ago.



When I was living in Paris I enjoyed walking in a similar park (much longer than the High Line) between Bastille and gare de Lyon called Le Viaduc Des Arts aka La Coulée Verte [map it] under the part they used the spaces for art galleries which is pretty cool too.



The design and plantings on the High Line are based on the naturally occurring plant life that sprung up when trains stopped running.

The High Line is located on Manhattan's West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to 34th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenues. Section 1 of the High Line, which opened to the public on June 9, runs from Gansevoort Street to 20th Street.

5 FRANKLIN PLACE MY NEW NYC HOME ADDRESS

I love living in Los Angeles and the only way you could get me out of here to move to NYC is to give me a condo at the Five Franklin Place located in the heart of Tribeca ;-) I never said I was not picky ...

The 20 stories building will contain 55, one, two, three and four bedroom units that will be set up as duplex lofts on the lower floors, single-level city residents above plus three triplex penthouses each with a rooftop terrace and serviced by private internal elevators.



The building designed by Dutch architect Ben van Berkell of UNStudio, will be wrapped in a series of horizontal black metallic bands each of which ungulates as it curves around and hugs the frame of the structure. The façade is apparently a direct tribute to the original 19th century built form of cast iron that shaped lower Manhattan and the metallic surface will reflect light while highlighting the magnificence of the neighboring buildings. The master bathrooms of the upper units will feature a circular sliding wall that allows the bathroom to become part of the bedroom and share its spectacular city views.

MY NEW ADDRESS! 123 WASHINGTON STREET

The 56-story tower will have 220 hotel rooms and 180 residential condominium apartments. The future W Hotel and condominium is expected to open in October 2009. I want to own a piece of it !!! This amazing residence is located 123 Washington Street on one of the most expensive and magic island in the world, Manhattan. This address will be home between floor 6 and 22 of a W hotel (perfect when your mother in law will come to visit you). Between floor 23 and 30 the W furnished residences, a pied-a-terre ready to move in. Between floor 33 and 56 ... one of my future condo preferably on floor 56 for the best view!

The residential entrance, cosy, stylish modern, simple, welcoming ... it will make you forget that you don't actually live in the lobby.

The outdoor plaza is nice but hey ... I am a roof top guy, I like to seep my champagne looking at the stars sitting by a fireplace listening some lounge music. Simple things ....

Once your done drinking and your friends have left, you can retreat and relax in your bedroom looking at the city light, even if all this as a pricy price think of the savings you will make on curtains .... because at 123 Washington Street all you'll want to do is enjoy the fantastic views. Time to rise and shine in your ultra modern bathroom and get your ass to work otherwise you will never be able to afford this Manhattan jewel ;-)

REFRESHING! WATERFALLS IN NYC

ANDREW BERMAN INTO THE WOODS // LONG ISLAND

Andrew Berman was hired by a New York couple to conceive a structure for work and play at their weekend address in Long Island.

Designed as a library and studio for a writer it is located at the threshold between a open field and a densely wooded area. The copper-clad building’s front, where the geometry suggests a footprint more diminutive than its actual 1,500 square feet.

111 FIRST STREET + NEW JERSEY

111 First Street is a proposed 1.2-million-square-foot, 52-story tower designed by Rem Koolhaas. The building features three parts set at 90 degrees angle to each other, containing live-work spaces for artists, a 250 rooms hotel and 150 condominium units, and stores.

I know I am asking for too much but it would have been great if each part could rotate, offering every two days a new view :-)
