A green diesel-electric engine [like we care at this point if it runs on gold or gas ... or even diamond powder]



The iconic Parisian house and the iconic Monaco yacht brand formed an equal partnership whereby each company is fully involved in all aspects of the conception and design of each project. Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Artistic Director of Hermès says :

"When we met, in autumn 2007, Luca Bassani Antivari, President of Wally had thought about asking Hermès to accessorise the interior of one of his boats. I was impressed by the daring of his projects. My instinct was to get on board with him and go and seek out new territories in yacht design, but I had no interest in speed.« Luca Bassani Antivari explains: »What I’ve always liked about Hermès, aside from its intrinsic quality, is its audacity and radicalism; its desire to go beyond trends, to make no compromises and to maintain the authenticity of the house. Wally shares the same values, Hermès-on-Land, Wally-on-Sea: inevitably our paths had to cross."

THE OCULUS A CYBER YATCH! HALF BOAT HALF WHALE

I know those are the kind of things I will bever have and to be honest I never dreamed to have my own boat, but I would love to rent the Oculus and spend a week cruising the Mediterranean sea with my friends and family!



The Oculus is 250 feet long concept (sorry for those who were already excited to buy it ...) It is designed to accommodate 12 guests in extraordinary comfort and style. Oculus is a long distance cruising yacht capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots. The exterior styling is representative of the jaw and eye socket bone structure of large oceanic fish and mammals. Featuring a dramatic reverse bow configuration, the yacht's armature balances an elegant expression of symmetry and structure. In addition to the bow, Oculus also features a "low rider profile". This slightly lowered surface allows for new side recreational areas, alternate dockage access and light cruising openness.



Lateral retractable side panels close this area when heavier wave action is indicated. The interior features of Oculus focus on a 12 foot high ceiling in the main salon, a cylindrical double height dining room, central stair and elevator tube, and seemingly anatomical ceiling and floor lighting extensions giving definition to the seating areas. The second level is the dedicated Owner's suite.

Living areas and bedchambers are divided by a series of four freestanding tubes, which house bath and storage necessities.

THE TRILOBIS 65

The Trilobis 65 is a 65 ft semi-submerged floating home designed by Giancarlo Zema, an Italian Naval architect. But before we're all submerge, it is ideal for living in bays, atolls and maritime parks. This special project refers to the Trilobiti, little creatures that lived in the sea 500 milion years ago. Isn't that adorable !?

It offers the best view of the sea from its elevation of about 11 ft. above the waterline. two single and two double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. The most distinctive feature of the Trilobis is its fully submerged first level, the observation bulb, a thick glass enclosure that provides a 360° view, perfect for relaxing with a good book after a day of labor, or a day tanning on the upper deck.

SeaBob turns you into a sea dolphin ... well kind of

Have you ever wanted to swim like a fish, fast and with all those curves, to feel free? So if unlike dolphins you have some money ... the SeaBob is what you need (and what I need!)

Prices starts at €7,700 up to €11,300 for the model that will help you not to hit the corail barrier ... because dolphins are smart and humans ... not that smart !!! Just kidding the €11,300 model is just a better version of the other one ;-) so you can feel free to hit the bottom ...

Porsche Design Studios is bringing some Stuttgart style to the boating business with its first-ever seacraft. The 28-foot-long high-speed cruiser is a collaboration with Florida-based upstart Fearless Yachts and the German creatives set about designing a luxury racer that could dominate what they dubbed the "aquabahn." Price: starts at $300,000

THE WALLY ESSENCE BY ODILE DECQ

The Wally 143 is a 43 meter high performance mega yacht characterised by the innovative design both on deck and below deck, combining vintage and contemporary concepts. More comfortable and furthermost the Essence can be handled by an ultra reduced crew.

The loft concept of Esense is evident also in the interiors: the main saloon is a clean open space. The design by Odile Decq combines pad oak wood in akju color for the soles, metallic white for the bulkheads.

Esense was awarded 'Outstanding Achievement in a sailing yacht' during the 17th annual Showboats International awards dinner at the Sporting Club of Monte-Carlo.

THE SILOLONA

If like us you don't like cruises ... you are going to LOVE the Silolona !

Silolona is a traditional wooden sailboat, a Phinisi, built by hand by the Sulawesi Konjo people in 2004. Since her first days of sailing in the waters of East Indonesia and East Malaysia and Thailand, she has surprised more than a few with her breathtaking décor, spacious decks, delightful Asian fusion cuisine. Price per night and per person starting at €1000, but for more privacy you can always rent the all boat for €9000 a night ... I think we'll do that ... I don't feel like pillow fighting for a deck bed sunbath ;-)

Silolona offers luxury yacht charters for sailing in Indonesia from April to November every year, before going up to the West Coast of Malaysia and Thailand and up to Myanmar, from December to March for more luxury cruises.

Let's dream for a minute ...

The 118 WallyPower is a high performance superyacht integrating technology with design, it won the Millennium Yacht Design Award. It's 118 feet long, and rock the sea up to 70 mph. The living area is organised in 3 levels, with a superbly minimalist Euro interior by Lazzarini & Pickering. It features a master bedroom, two guest rooms, a professional kitchen, and a huge dining/seating area.

Prices starting at $16.55 million when the yacht is equipped with twin diesels, and $24M with triple gas turbines. But do I really need the triple gas turbine!? I think the paddle one will do just fine, in fact I'll just take the paddles ;-)
