Last time we have checked the evolution of the Burj Dubai tower was in May 2007, today it hasn't reach the top, yet, but it's looking good. Thanx to Sean, Ady, Eve, George and Marius for sending us the last picture of the tower ;-)

Greed is not good, making history is irrelevant to the state the world lives in. It is impressive what can be done to make a structure of this magnitude; however, the world has bigger issues at hand. It is amazing; however, not as impressive as solving world hungry or homelessness.

well the world has the new tallest building in the world,,,and what for? is this progress? in what way? consuming more energy, more contaminacion, more toxic materials..the world need this? of course not,,,but it's only for give more power and more and more money to the same rich people and to sell ilusions to stupid people who need silly entertainment in their stupids lives,,,,i hope everybody who admire this huge mass of debris can get into this building and never get out

how many workers has died in this capricious construccion?
that will consume much water and energy?
millions of millions of money,,,what for?
why not using this money to give better education, health and livelihood to millions of children worldwide?
and then do not ask why there is so much inequality in the world, why there is so much anger in the world,
why there are so many hate groups? why so many people using violence as the only way to be heard?

You going to update with the finished product?

Rich poor this that.
money is just paper, how can u waste money,
or feed the poor with paper.
you cannot equate a building with food 2 diff things. a lot of people were employed to build this, and their families ate because of this building.
I hate wastage, and i havn't got a lot of money either. But when someone pays a lot of money for something, it does not bother me as he is only making the money go round. this is a beautiful building a work of art. I just wish God gives me enough money to visit Dubai and see
this magnificent building.

wow, I am truly horrified by the anger and ignorance displayed in the comments above... if they represent a cross-section of humanity in any way shape or form then it's no wonder we live in a world full of hunger, hatred, greed, violence, stupidity, and very tall buildings.

WHAT SO EVER BE THE HEIGHTS OR BREADTHS,
WHAT SO EVER BE THE FLOORS AND HEIGHTS,
NOTHING IS GONNA BE WITH U FOREVER...
BUILD THE HEIGHTS THAT CAN ROSE U HIGH ABOVE THIS MATERIALISTIC WORLD...
